Endoscopy

After dealing with stomach pains and other horrible symptoms for a long time, I finally bit the bullet as they say and scheduled an endoscopy. An endoscopy is where they doctor looks at the contents of your upper GI tracts through a camera at the end of a tube while you are unconscious. It was quick and I didn't feel a thing.

Unfortunately though, because of the anesthesia I was not allowed to sign legal documents, drive or go to work which was a huge bummer because I felt super well rested after the anesthesia and found myself to be extremely bored...

so after seeing this on my friend Kipin's blog I drew eyebrows on Thelma. It was hilarious to watch her expressions with eyebrows. Don't worry it was non-toxic and came right off but she loved the attention from it.

Later that night, my good friend Sharline brought me by some treats to lend some support. She is a wonderful Visiting Teacher and a really good friend. I feel so happy to know her and have her in my life.

Two weeks after the procedure, I got my diagnosis.

Dickie's Spring Visits

Sunburned men after the day at TPC Sawgrass - They had good stories to tell after all the fun!
Now this is what you call dog tired.
Dickie has been coming to visit 2-3 times this Spring/Summer and it has been very nice having him. Our parents ALWAYS spoil us when they come into town and Dickie makes no exception usually treating us to steak dinners which is quite rare for us but a huge treat. We have a blast just hanging out and catching up.

Bruce and Thelma

They didn't get along at first. He was an invader and it was her space. We wanted to take him back anyway, he cried all night the first night home and I was frazzled, exhausted and ready to sell him to the highest bidder. After a few weeks though, Bruce has really become a part of the family. He and Thelma are constantly playing and teasing each other running through the house.

Bruce is a very playful dog that LOVES to run away. He thinks it is a game and then after chasing him all through the neighborhood, you'll come back to find him sitting on your doorstep. He likes water too. You can just assume his personality is the opposite of Thelma's which it is and that gives us a good mix.

Tired dogs!!

Thelma wants him to play with her SO badly.

Jaguars at the Zoo

Mark and Anthony on the Zoo Train
Mark being the bug doctor he is (entomologist) wanted to check out the Jacksonville Zoo. It was my first time and Anthony's second time at the zoo and it was pretty cool getting to see all the animals. Some animals were more exciting than others but it was a pretty neat adventure. The alligators were really active, the elephants tried to escape and I swear the big cats were watching me. I forgot how fun the zoo can be.
Can't

You can see the elephant sticking his head through the fence past Judi's head

Boats on the river at Singleton's Seafood Shack
Mark made their trip a culinary adventure and I am glad they came when they did because I would not have been able to post-celiac disease diagnosis which happened at the end of May. Anyway, we ate like Kings at Metro Diner and then later at Singleton's Seafood shack which is up near the zoo. The seafood was SO good. I loved it and it was a nice and relaxing weekend. It kind of felt like we were double dating all weekend.

Century Oak in Downtown JAX

Judi and Mark came into town for a weekend in April and it was so much fun! I was under a lot of stress at the time and it was nice to have a parent in town during that time. They really did a good time distracting me and on Saturday after hitting up the Riverside Arts Market, we stopped by the Century Oak in Downtown Jacksonville.

Judi's really petite but the tree really is HUGE

Mother and Son - Are they cute?

1st Client

Uncle Les is a hard worker and smart man but the internet may not be his best friend. Lucky for him, Anthony and I are both really good with computers, internet, marketing, etc. so we decided to surprise him with a website.
