Father's Day 2013

So I have to post a Father's Day picture! Here are Anthony and the 'kids' on the guest bed doing some reading.

Country kind of 4th of July

Anthony is a very passionate man and is very excited about things. In this instance, he was passionate about The Mavericks. If you don't know The Mavericks ask Anthony and he will tell you about them, their awards, the music style, and will play the music for you.

After the concert and staying in downtown for a little bit, cousin Heather came and picked us up and we got some good family time. It was great getting to meet Matt, Sarah, Savannah, and Noah.

When we returned to Florida, we got on the road and headed straight to Panama City Beach for some Bennett Family Beach Bonding. We got to see Ben, Bill, Dickie, Mark, Annie, and Judi. Other than Anthony's cell phone getting ruined in a 'boating emergency' and his prescription sunglasses going swimming, it was great trip. We had fun getting to see everyone and it reminded us how fun summers on the water can be.

We were going to be fancy on our much anticipated trip to Nashville for The Mavericks so I made Anthony get a shoe shine. He openly LOVED it. It was super cool... and my grandpa Allen was a shoe shine boy in San Francisco (that is just a random fun fact).

Our hotel was right across the street from the Titans Stadium. GO JAGS!

Trying to save money and going to the FREE Country Concert for 4th of July. We stayed near downtown and walked over the river to ALL the action. OMG... we went during the hottest summer they've had in years! It was a 100 degree+ heat wave but we survived!

Anthony loved the Country Music Hall of Fame BUT there was a Taylor Swift exhibit that got him real upset.

Near Matt and Heather's House - They live near on of Kenny Chesney's house and near the Rehab Center that Keith Urban went to after Nicole Kidman kicked him out! So cool! hehe

Mom and Jim came to help us celebrate our first married Thanksgiving. Of course, we had to work on Friday after Thanksgiving or we gladly would have driven to Mom's, Judi's, Dickie's, Grandma Betty's, etc.

I made this easy on myself especially with the move coming and decided to order the turkey, sweet potatoes, and stuffing from Winn Dixie. Let me just say that they did a fabulous job and we dined like kings on those things as well as some deviled eggs, green bean casseroles, mashed potatoes, cajun crab dip, and rolls.

Jim wanted to eat! Mom wanted to take pictures!

As we were gathering some last minute items for the big day- Mom and Jim cheerfully exclaimed as they found matching solo cups and disposable dinnerware that they would be celebrating this year just "like pilgrims." It was a nice and humble first Thanksgiving.

Happy Father's Day!

Well, last week we sent out 4 Father's Day Cards to Doug (my dad), Dickie (Anthony's dad), Jim (my mom's bf), and Mark (Anthony's stepdad). Ugh! I didn't even touch the grandpas which would include on my side Grandpa Allen, Poppy, Grandpa Jean, and Grandpa Aho. Wow!

Anthony got to celebrate Father's Day today because we consider Thelma to be our dog-daughter. She got him Jelly Beans from WACOs in Marianna and after Jacksonville West Stake Conference, Doggy-daddy got to play video games, watch movies, and work on his most recent project! It was a much needed relaxing day after laundry, a BBQ, and Stake Conference's Adult Meeting on Saturday.
